Yesterday we did a few more hikes at Zion before heading to the Grand Canyon. The highlight from these was the Weeping Rock hike, which ended in gardens literally growing out of rock.

The Emerald Pool hikes were also pretty neat. The name emerald comes from the algae that is all over the rocks. We also saw a scorpion, sunning himself on a rock.

After a few brief picture stops, we headed to the Grand Canyon!
Today, we did the Bright Angel trail, which is a little over 9 miles round trip. It takes you 4.6 miles into the canyon ending at Indian Gardens. The change in elevation was over 3,000 feet, and parts were even steeper than Angel's Landing in Zion, but the views were awesome.

After the hike, we were pretty beat, but decided to get a head start on our trip to Vegas. We detoured to drive on Route 66.
