We made it to Zion yesterday and did a quick 1 mile hike. At the top we could see the northern rim of the Grand Canyon.

Today, we hiked three trails which combined was over 10.5 miles. The first was in the northern section of the park called Kolob Canyons. On it there were two homestead cabins built circa 1930 which were pretty impressive.

We then drove to the southern part of the park. It includes the more popular features such as Angel's Landing and the Narrows. Unfortunately, the Narrows were closed, but we were able to make it up the 2 mile hike to Angel's Landing. The tough climb was worth it in the end with the spectacular views of the canyon.

After our long day of hiking, we tasted the "World Famous" Bumbleberry pie in Springdale, UT. It lived up to its reputation, and we recommend you get a slice.
Ashley learned the hard way that it is possible to sunburn the top of your hands. And that it HURTS! She did this before our first hike...while driving. So for the next week, Ashley will be wearing long sleeves and pants even though it is nearly 90 and Katie is getting a nice tan :)
